University Teacher in Physics

Michael Walsh obtained his BEd in Educational Physics with Mathematics from the University of Nottingham and his MA in Education (Leadership & Management) from the Open University. He worked for over thirty years in a variety of educational establishments both in the UK and overseas teaching Physics to A-level and leading educational initiatives to improve the profile of science education.

At the time of his employment at Loughborough University he was the Director of Learning for Science and Technology at a large secondary school. He initially joined the university in order to support several programmes leading to initial teacher training in physics and the sciences. He currently leads the physics input for Foundation Studies.
