Why did you choose Loughborough University?
I chose Loughborough University because of the campus, I remember the campus being so green and massive. I also loved the idea of how everything was on campus, all my classes as well as my accommodation, especially for my First year.
What do you enjoy about your course?
What I particularly love about my course is that it constantly challenges the way I think and the way I perceive certain issues especially socially and politically. An inspiring moment I believe in my course was in Second Year when I took the module ‘Slavery in a global context’. This module completely opened my eyes to the injustices occurring on a global scale and not just in a limited view, focused on just one country.
What do you think of the teaching quality and facilities provided by the University?
I believe the teaching quality is amazing because lecturers are so passionate about what they are teaching. Facilities are also really good because there are study spaces that are spread out all over campus.
What kind of support have you had in the department and from the University?
There are various forms of support from the University through the Welfare and Diversity Department that are always happy to help. Furthermore, within the department all lecturers are always willing to help all students within their office hours.
What do you hope to do when you graduate and how will your Loughborough degree support this?
I am not too sure exactly what I want to do once I graduate, I have thought of perhaps taking a masters course. Either way I believe what I will take away from Loughborough will be more than just my degree, the experience I’ve had in Loughborough has been amazing and has developed my confidence in a way I know will be beneficial to my future.
