PhD Research Student

Sam is a PhD Research student in the Advanced Virtual Reality Research Centre (AVRRC). He is working with Professor Roy Kalawsky, Dr Sijung Hu and Dr Laura Barrett under the “Intelligent, adaptable electronics for healthcare and wellbeing mini-CDT”. His research is on Multi-Sensor Data fusion and Integration to Support investigations in Healthcare and Well-being.

Sam’s research seeks to improve the overall reliabilty and efficiency of sensor-based approaches to healthcare and well-being by exploring techniques that have their foundations in a variety of technologies, including:

  • Data Mining
  • Signal Processing
  • Modelling
  • Simulation
  • Visualization
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

He obtained a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science from Loughborough University and a Bachelors Degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.
