PhD Research Student

The origin of Hao's PhD research comes from the difficulty that automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).e.g. Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC, face in assimilating new technologies into products.

The integration of evolving technologies into complex product lines presents increasingly more complex challenges such as creating new ways of working, examining decision-making processes and redesigning the governance structures for the supply chain. In the automotive industry introducing new technology is an essential core capability which leads to bigger market share.

The motivation of this research is to study the technology assimilation in the automotive domain to find out key factors in order to propose a framework which can be seen as guidance for future technology assimilation.
