PhD Research Student
Junchen Ren came to Loughborough University in 2014 when he studied for his Master Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He has since embarked on completing a multidisciplinary PhD in the Plasma and Pulsed Power Research Group, under the supervision of Dr. Felipe Iza of the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering and Dr. Hemaka Bandulasena of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Microbubble-enhanced plasma-driven advanced oxidation processes for wastewater treatment
Junchen’s research includes the treatment of wastewater using plasma, application of microbubble generation technology in cold atmospheric-pressure plasma treatment and development of power supply for plasma devices. His research requires expertise in both Electronic & Electrical Engineering and Chemistry.
