Peter Denno is a computer scientist in the Engineer Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology, US. He has 32 years’ experience in manufacturing research including 20 years at NIST and 10 years at Pratt & Whitney. He has a Masters in Supply Chain Management from Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut.

PhD Thesis Title: Production Scheduling as Joint Cognitive Work

Peter's primary topic of interest is problem formulation performed as joint cognitive work. Problem formulation is understood to be a pure cognitive task with the goal of constructing a mathematical model representing a domain problem, its goals, and its constraints.
