Achim studied at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Mosbach, Germany, where he achieved his BSc in Business Information Systems in 2016. His Bachelor’s thesis was on tracking and tracing of products and processes within assembly lines and was undertaken with ZIEHL-ABEGG SE, Germany.

After working in industry for a year as an application and database developer, Achim studied for his MSc in Information Management at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, which he was awarded in 2018.

Achim joined the Intelligent Automation Centre as a PhD student in October 2018.
