Developing innovative products to tackle everyday problems
- Version 22
Award-winning graduate company Version 22 tackles everyday problems with innovative, attractive and simple design solutions.
Simon Lyons (Product Design Engineering, 2013) joined the Studio in 2013 to focus on his company and develop Version 22’s first two products – Geco Hub and Nimble.
Geco Hub – a patented grab-and-go storage system – is set to make losing essential items – wallets, keys, phones – a thing of the past. The unique matrix of flexible components can be customised to suit the user’s changing needs – without the use of tools.
Nimble is specifically designed for people with arthritis or similar conditions to help them access awkward packages and cartons – safely and independently.
As well as producing helpful household products, Simon is committed to supporting local businesses wherever possible as a way to promote home-grown manufacturing talent.
