As National Apprenticeship Week returns for 2023, there's no better time to discover our Systems Engineering Level 7 Apprenticeship.
The School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering is proud to work with industry, offering organisations and employees the opportunity to utilise their Apprenticeship Levy to develop graduates who are equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage end-to-end engineering of complex systems.
Based part-time, the apprenticeship is block-taught and offers a flexible, blended learning format, enabling students to combine working full-time at their current workplace whilst completing the programme.
Collaborating with more than twenty industry leaders, the systems design skills and enterprise knowledge provided throughout the course are directly deployable in the workplace, making this a highly relevant qualification for those seeking employment, and those already working in complex systems technology.
We caught up with one of our graduates who recently completed her Level 7 Apprenticeship in Systems Engineering. Jenny Labiak had been working in industry for several years but wanted to take her skills and expertise to the next level.
Jenny said, "My employer had carefully elected to partner with Loughborough University as the Systems Engineering MSc focused on practitioner skills that were immediately deployable in the workplace. I can safely say from first-hand experience that my employer made the correct choice! My job requires me to have a broad understanding of a variety of engineering disciplines and how they interact and that's exactly what my apprenticeship has provided me with."
She added, "Completing my MSc has given me newfound confidence and the expertise I need to progress further in my career. My advice to anyone considering the course would be to absolutely go for it!"
