After completing my BSc in Psychology at the University of Exeter in 2013, I trained as a maths teacher with Teach First. In my four years as a teacher, I worked in Bristol and Chester as a teacher, deputy head of department and mentor for trainee teachers, whilst also completing an MSc in Educational Leadership with the University of Bristol.

I joined Ofsted as a statistician in 2017, analysing regional data concerning schools and young people, before taking responsibility for Parent View data and working with the research and evaluation team on larger scale projects.

In September 2019, I began studying at Loughborough University after receiving a 1+3 studentship from the ESRC Midlands Graduate School DTP. My research looks at optimising the learning of multiplication and division facts in schoolchildren.
