Dr Reza Arjmandi PhD

KTP Associate Technologist in Sustainable Polymers

Dr Reza Arjmandi is currently working as a KTP Associate at Loughborough University in partnership with Aquapak Polymers Ltd, Birmingham, United Kingdom (UK). He received his PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Polymer Engineering in 2016 having previously obtained a Bsc in Applied Chemistry in 2009 and an MSc in Organic Chemistry in 2011 both from Islamic Azad University, Iran.

He worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aston University, Birmingham, UK from Mrach 2019 to September 2020. He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Bioprocess and Polymer Engineering, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, UTM from April 2016 to December 2017.

His current areas of research interest include modification, oxidation and stabilisation of polymers, polymer composites and nanocomposites, polymer processing, rheology of polymers, polymer adhesion, cellulose nanowhiskers, nanoclays, carbon nanotubes, graphene, polymer blends and toughened polymers.
