PhD Student

Yuki is a first year PhD student in Department of Materials in the School of AACME, (Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering.)

She attended the LCMP, (Loughborough, China Materials Programme), between Sichuan University and Loughborough University and then graduated with a merit MSc in Polymer Science and Engineering from Loughborough University in 201, and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Polymer Science and Technology from Sichuan university, China, in 2018.

Her current PhD project is focuses on Metallurgical risk factors in advanced 9%Cr creep strength enhanced ferritic (CSEF) steels.

Qualifications:

September 2014 - July 2018; Sichuan University, Bachelor's Degree of Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology, Second class Honours.

September 2018 - September 2019; Loughborough University, MSc, Polymer Science and Engineering, Merit

  • CSEF steel second phases identification and qualification
  • Precipitation evaluation in CSEF steel during creep
  • 3D reconstruction in the parent metal and HAZ regions
