My research interests focus on the relationship between the state, society and data. I am particularly interested in the transition from disciplinary to digitally controlled societies. My doctoral research studied how the governance of secondary schools in England was transformed by the introduction of computer networks.
I am currently working with Michael Hoyler, Morag Bell and James Esson on the Facilitating Philanthropic Engagement in African Higher Education project at CASE Europe.
