Design School Shortlisted for Enterprise Award
A team of researchers at the Design School have been working with TfL on reducing HGV blind sports and the project has been shortlisted for the University Enterprise Awards for Impact.
The work has meant that the most unsafe HGVs will be removed from London's roads as part of a world-first scheme. The impact of this work for the new system for measuring blind spots size in trucks in partnership with TfL will make cyclists more visible to HGV drivers and save hundreds of lives.
The University Enterprise Award voting is now open for public voting. The Reducing HGV Blind Spot work is shortlisted, alonside other University projects.
