Crowdfunding campaign success for Design School Graduate

Alumnus Ross Kemp founded Asap Water Crafts in 2011. The business makes small electric powered watercraft for rescue and leisure purposes.

Ross’s initial ideas stemmed from his lifesaving training at Loughborough where he studied Industrial Design and Technology until 2011. He later developed his ideas as a graduate in The Studio, the University’s incubation hub.

Over the last few years, Ross and the team have been working to adjust and complete their designs ready for production. They recently sought further investment through a crowdfunding campaign to bring the products to the market.

The campaign was a huge success for Ross and the team. They raised over £280,000 to invest into the business, which was 186% of their original campaign target.

Many congratulations to Ross. We look forward to seeing the products on the market soon.
