Design School Graduate named as finalist in 2017 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards

Design School alumna Nell Bennett, co-founder of rhythmic pulse band Doppel, has been named as a finalist in the everywoman Start-up Founder of the Year Award.

Since graduating with a first class degree in Industrial Design and Technology in 2012, Nell has co-founded Doppel, a band which pulsates to help calm you down or make you more alert by creating a heartbeat like rhythm on the inside of the wrist. Doppel is expected to ship in March 2017.

Everywoman was founded over 15 years ago with the goal of changing the landscape for women in business. The organisation encourages women to succeed in a variety of business industries, including technology. They partner with a range of businesses to help them promote and retain their female talent, encouraging women to become leaders in their industries.

The Start-up Founder of the Year Award is sponsored by Barclays and recognises inspirational female founders in recently established businesses. The winner of the award will be announced at the 7th annual FDM everywoman in Technology Awards ceremony on the 9th February at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The award ceremony follows the everywoman technology forum, which brings together over 600 women and includes speakers from business leaders in a variety of industries.

We would like to congratulate Nell on her nomination and wish her the best of luck at the awards ceremony!
