Design School retains Athena SWAN Bronze award

The Design School has retained its Athena SWAN Bronze award. The Athena SWAN Charter was established to encourage and recognise commitment to advancing careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) employment in higher education and research. Recently, it has been expanded to recognise gender equality more broadly to include professional and support staff. Design School was the first STEMM school in the University which applied for an award including progress for all its staff.

The Bronze award is valid until 2021 and the Self-Assessment Team looks forward to achieving the silver award in the future with support of the School and the University.
