Death of Sally Shalloe

Sally was a graduate of the Ergonomics Masters course at the Department of Human Sciences, Loughborough University, in October 2004. In November that same year she joined the Vehicle Safety Research Centre at ESRI, the Ergonomics and Safety Research Institute, where she worked for 2 years. Both organisations are now part of the Loughborough Design School.

Sally worked predominantly with Alan Kirk and Rachel Grant on the European funded CHILD project and also on other child and motorcycle safety projects. Sally was extremely professional, capable and conscientious and a joy to work with. She got on with everyone at ESRI and also in our wider European project community. Sally was always cheerful and positive and it was a pleasure to share the working day with her and an honour to know her.

Our thoughts are with Sally’s husband, Jim, and her family, friends and colleagues.
