Kate O'Keeffe

PhD Student

Mental Fatigue, Hypoxia, Cognitive Function, Psychology.

Kate is orignally from Galway, Ireland. She went to the University of Limerick, Limerick, Ireland and was awarded a bachelors of Science in Physical Education and Mathematics teaching.

Kate then went and did a postgraduate degree at University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä, Finland and was awarded a masters of Science in Sports and Exercise Psychology

Then Kate worked as a Physical Education Teacher for 2 years in Abu Dhabi prior to starting her MSc and currently also work as a sport psychology performance consultant.

Kate joined Loughborough Design School in April 2017.

My current research is focused on human cognition in multi-stressor environments such as extreme environments combined with psychological stressors like mental fatigue.
