PhD Student

Jay holds a M.Sc. in Sports Biomechanics from Loughborough University and a B.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering from Dublin City University (DCU).

A keen athlete himself, Jay’s research interests lie in the area of sports technology and how this can be used to reduce injury risks in sport. He is currently studying a PhD at Loughborough Design School. This project aims to develop a novel method of Additive Manufacturing that can be utilised in the area of sports technology, specifically body armour. He hopes that this project will eventually lead to lower injury rates in sport.
