Andre Brito is a freelance documentary videographer with an MA in Documentary by Practice (Royal Holloway University of London, 2009), as well as a professional background in print journalism and advertising.
Currently an associate lecturer at Loughborough Design School, he teaches progressive innovative approaches to rapid-prototyping such as video-prototyping, which embeds visual storytelling into User Experience (UX) Design, Design for Social Innovation and Design Thinking; and high-fidelity interactive app prototyping using Axure RP. He is also an adviser to the United Nations’ Young Entrepreneurs Taskforce (YET), under which he co-organizes annual events such as the UXathon linking Loughborough Design School students with businesses and academic institutions in Asia, in a real-life briefing-based scenario.
André’s documentaries have been screened publicly, including at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the U.S., where his documentary “Conscripted” (2009) was selected for screening at the Cinema of the Portuguese-Speaking World course in 2012. His latest cinematography work, “Back to the Drawing Board”, premiered at the Westminster Theatre, Keele University, in January 2017.
