Summer Graduation 2019

On a sunny Thursday in July, our Chemical Engineering Graduands came together with their families and friends, to celebrate their imminent graduation with departmental staff.
Attendees and staff alike, spent time recalling students’ experiences whilst at Loughborough University and discussing what the world has in store for our soon to be alumni in the next few months.
Some students are taking a well-deserved break, whilst others are immediately jumping into industry and one student will be joining us again to complete a PhD – they obviously don’t want to leave us just yet!
A number of Departmental prizes were awarded at the celebration event:
BP Chemicals Design Prize (Best MEng Individual Design) - Kiranjit Dharni (left)
Esso Petroleum Company Final Year Prize (top student in examined modules) and Intelligent Energy Prize for the Highest Scoring Finalist - Karthikeya Deshmukh (right)
Department Project Prize (Best Research Project) - Karthikeya Deshmukh, Ayesha Dar and Harry Fry (left)
H.K. Suttle Prize - Mathew Walker (right)
Michael Edwards Memorial Prize (best literature review in both MEng and BEng) - Calum Blair and Thomas Ellwood (left)
Salters’ Graduate Award - Emma Hutchinson (right)
Chemical Engineering Department BEng Design Prize - Michael Asolo-Ogugua (student not present)
The academic, technical and support staff of the Chemical Engineering Department would like to offer their sincere congratulations to our wonderful students on achieving their degrees following years of hard work and we wish them all the very best for the future!
