Peter Beacham has worked at the University and before that LCAD for 34 years. He has extensive experience in mould making and casting using a variety of materials and a particular interest in direct casting from the human figure.

Peter is also experienced in wood and metal fabrication, oxy-acetylene gas welding and cutting, Arc welding and blacksmithing. He is chainsaw trained and is a qualified forklift truck driver with experience in slinging and lifting.

Peter's teaching activities involve the delivery of both module content and individual one to one instruction to postgraduate and undergraduate students in a variety of sculptural techniques and processes, including mould making, body casting, GRP work, use of woodworking and metal working equipment, electric arc and gas welding and carving and the use of expanded polystyrene.
