University Teacher – Art and Design Foundation Studies
Clare Nicholas has worked as a freelance illustrator since graduating in 1988 from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Printmaking.
Her commissioned work has met demands across a range of applications within the industry, with a focus on greetings products and publishing. Her clients include National Trust, World Wildlife Fund, Vogue magazine, Chico Books and National Geographic.
She is currently building a body of new works around the theme ‘All Things’ (Bright and Beautiful) for a solo exhibition. The works explore a mixture of media and techniques singly and in combination to break visual boundaries. She is utilising printmaking processes, oils painting, collage and digital programmes to fulfil this aim.
