The Textiles: Innovation and Design programme have exhibited for another year at the international trade fair Première Vision. This unique opportunity allows students to showcase their designs on a global platform and for the course to continue to bolster its deep routed connections within the industry.

The Loughborough stand illustrated the unique and outstanding level of creativity produced by current Part B and C students across all disciplines. The booth, located in the Designs section of the show, pitches students work at a level alongside commercial studios.

Première Vision is a long-established date in the fashion industry calendar. With more than 1700 exhibitors, the Parisian show welcomes over 40,000 visitors to ogle over the latest trends. The show covers a broad range of commercial interests from yarns, cloth, leathers, hardware, trimmings and prints. Additionally, the fair shines a spotlight on technical innovation and hosts a series of inspiring talks.

The panoply of ingenuity on display across the three days was most prominent with the introduction of Mutation. This exhibition showcased advancements in the sector with the use of sustainability and the interaction between nature and technical textiles.

Première Vision continued to prove a success for Loughborough University. Staff established new opportunities for student placements, explored several possible collaborative partnerships and promoted the outstanding level of design originating from Loughborough.
