Postcard exhibition raises funds for local charity

A recent charity exhibition by Loughborough’s Art and Design Foundation students raised £380.41 for Rainbows, the East Midlands-based hospice for children and young people.

The students, who worked in collaboration with visiting students from Joshibi University of Art and Design in Tokyo, designed postcards around the theme of ‘tension’. Students from each of the course’s four pathways – Fine Art, 3D Design, Textiles and Fashion, and Visual Communication – took part, generating a variety of creative responses to the brief.

Paula Gamble-Schwarz, Programme Director for Art and Design Foundation Studies, said: “We are delighted to be able to support Rainbows Hospice which provides such a valuable service to local children and their families.”
