Fine Art student wins national art competition
One of our Fine Art students has won a national art competition run annually by Glyndebourne opera house. Twenty-year-old Yin Ching Tung’s winning piece, Struggles of Vanity, "impressed the judges with its energetic vitality, raw graphic style and mesmerising undertones of the work of Francis Bacon." Yin Ching Tung will see her artwork grace the cover of 10,000 copies of the Glyndebourne Tour Programme and be exhibited at Glyndebourne and any participating galleries this autumn.
Glyndebourne is renowned as an award-winning, world-class opera company and has worked with a variety of well known artists throughout its eighty one year history. Artists such as David Hockney and Anish Kapoor have designed operas for it and it has exhibited work by Grayson Perry, Sean Henry and Michael Craig Martin in recent years.
