Francesca Hobbs Receives Student Design Prize
Second year 3D Design: New Practice student Francesca Hobbs has been awarded the 2015 Libra Student Design Prize.

Loughborough University Fine Art student Paula Riley has designed and created a sculpture to celebrate 100 years of Ladybird Books. ‘The Child Sculpture’ which is of a young boy reading a book, was created for this year’s Loughborough in Bloom campaign and was unveiled just in time for a visit by the Bloom judges.

Dr Anne-Marie Beller, an academic member of staff from the School specialising in Victorianism, has organised a conference about popular novelist of the Victorian era, Mary Elizabeth Braddon. Sensational Influences: Mary Elizabeth Braddon's Literary Legacy will take place 4 - 5th September 2015, at the Institute of English Studies, Senate House, London.

On Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th October, researchers and project managers from the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy joined the kickoff meeting of the European Project DICHE - Digital Innovation in Cultural and Heritage Education in the light of 21st century learning, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, Strategic Partnership KA2.

Final Year Fine Art student, Paula Riley - who goes by her artist name ‘Priley Riley’ - has won first place in 'The Ultimate Edible Masterpiece of 2015' competition, run by Art Fund, a national fundraising charity for art.
