The Ghost Sonata by August Strindberg

Presented By Final-year Drama students

About this event

Loughborough University's final-year Drama students present an adaptation of August Strindberg's classic, The Ghost Sonata. Delve into the glitz and glamour of 1920's America and discover that things aren't always as they appear!

The Ghost Sonata relates the adventures of a young student, who idealises the lives of the inhabitants of a grand house in 1920's New York. He makes the acquaintance of the mysterious Jacob Hummel, who helps him to find his way into the apartment, only to find that it is a nest of death and betrayal. With a jazzy soundtrack, we blur the boundaries between new and old, dark and light, day and night...
