Creative & Cultural Industries Event
- 4.30pm - 8pm
- Loughborough University London
About this event
The School of the Arts, English and Drama, in conjunction with Loughborough University Careers Network and Loughborough University London, are hosting an event designed to #CreateNetworks in the Creative and Cultural Industries. We would like to invite organisations in this sector and current students on our Graphic Communication & Illustration course to attend this event.
Over 50% of Loughborough graduates work in London at some point in their career. As a global location for the Creative and Cultural Industries, London offers fantastic opportunities to be involved in media, broadcast, production, the performing arts and design. Our graduates work for local, national and international organisations, from new start up tech companies to multi-national brands. This event provides a chance to bring them together to inform, inspire and excite a new generation of Loughborough University students.
The event is divided into two parts:
- 4.30pm – 6.00pm The #CreateNetworks event in LU London reception brings graduates and students together in one unique contemporary space to exchange ideas and contacts with employers.
- 6.00pm – 8.00pm Two concurrent panels hosted by Will Davies, Careers Consultant, and Andrew Selby, Associate Dean Enterprise for the School of the Arts, English & Drama, addressing Careers in the Creative Industries and Preparing Your Portfolio respectively, with Loughborough University graduates and local business panelists from Saatchi & Saatchi, The Artworks, Cancer Research UK, RG/A London, UsTwo, Ten 87 Studios and The Yard Theatre.
If you are a Graphic Communication & Illustration student please email Charlotte Robison (below) to book your place.
We look forward to welcoming you to our newly opened, state of the art campus at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford on 11th May! Please use the hashtag #CreateNetworks to promote this event through your social media channels.
