Arts Showcase

About this event

The School of the Arts, English and Drama is proud of the fantastic arts-based opportunities available on campus here at Loughborough University, and we want everyone else to be too! That's why we are holding a dedicated Arts Showcase on Wednesday 17 February - why not come along and learn more about how you could get involved in the arts? You could enjoy:

  • Live performances from Stage Society (on the hour)
See three shows in 15 minutes with a whistle-stop tour of this year's productions!

  • Creative workshops with the Creative Writing Group (quanter past the hour)
A poet and you don't even know it? Write a haiku in 15 minutes and you could win £20 of Amazon vouchers!

  • Spoken word performances from Speech Bubble (half past the hour)
Hear staff and students present their own original performance poetry!

  • Open mic slots (quarter to the hour)
Feeling spontaneous? Smashed the Speech Bubble workshop? Then seize the moment and sign up for an open mic slot!

In addition to the above, representatives from creative groups on campus including LU Arts, Flix (student-run cinema), the Library Book Club, The Student Wordsmith, and student-led publishing company Lamplight Press will be on hand to answer all your questions.

We hope to see you there!
