My work looks to capture the value of emotions felt in a moment which is often unknown until it becomes a memory.
The imagery in my practice reflects a visual interpretation of powerful emotions influenced by personal experiences. The range of complex emotions that would otherwise escape documentation are explored and deciphered through mixed media. Elements of abstract expressionism, collage, gestural movements and formed layers of melted wax add texture and depth. These techniques, choreographed with symbolic colour choices, work together to heighten the intensity of the emotions released. My work embodies common human emotions which are recognisable and aesthetically intriguing to the viewer.
