This collection of life-sized portraits is an autobiographical exploration of identity; it tries to break the confining stereotypes of how people are perceived within society. Identity is a complex matter: each individual cannot be subjected to categorisation as everyone has multiple distinguishable personas.

The contrasting relationship between figuration and abstraction accentuates the figures being torn between the differing characters. Furthermore, it highlights the fact that it is a personal response to one’s self, not a mirror of reality.
