Arts degree show2017

Kayleigh Elizabeth Wilson

Through exploring land degradation and erosion, my work comments on the geopolitical state of the landscape, ambiguously in climate.

By exerting formal qualities in my practice, materiality becomes important. Resin depicts the vulnerability and current instability of ice in my process. Through 3D rendering, the digital process I use transpires into a glacial-like structure, aiming to capture the essence of the landscape, in a paramount and imminent way.

The condition of the space in which my work is presented is aimed to make the viewer contemplate the changing world; looking – taking in only the visual aesthetics leaving behind physical language, creating a mindful spirituality to the landscape.
