My work is inspired by the interpretation of dreams. I’m fascinated by notions of the subconscious and the transformation of my psyche into physical reality. I experiment with textured papers in order to capture a distorted dream-like quality within my work. Dreams fade away as distant memories and I aim to recreate that effect by designing translucent garments inspired by my own ephemeral dreams. The prints are a form of therapy which unlocks a door into my subconscious. My prints help me to understand myself through the psychological exploration of my dreams. I use children’s garments because I interpret my dreams as a reflection of some of my childhood memories.
