Arts degree show2017

Chloe Diegel

I don’t set out to produce art about one subject or another, but put forth those fragmentary passages that reside in the mundane, as a spiritual reflection on our capacities to recognise beauty in this world, its fragility and the necessity to admire it daily. My drawings are combined into installations that juxtapose heteroclite items of my own everyday, breathing a new life through the intricate use of the dotwork technique. My wish is to encourage the viewer to wonder about the images that assail us continuously and reflect on any pre-conceived notion of aesthetic.
