Roles and expertise

I am responsible for the Water Engineering Laboratories within Sir Frank Gibb. This includes all equipment maintenance, providing appropriate training, managing all aspects of health and safety, and supporting all research and teaching activities that take place within the laboratories including conducting specialised sample analysis.

I also play a key role in Chemical and Biological safety within Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering by providing advice and guidance to all members of the school, and working to ensure compliance with changing legislation.

I graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2018 with a degree in Chemistry.

Between finishing my degree and starting my role within Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering, I have worked in biological research laboratories and chemistry laboratories, developing skills such as synthetic chemistry, a variety of analytical methods, cell culture, and good laboratory practice.
