I contribute to learning and teaching activities, by working with other staff to support any Water Engineering based laboratory work across the School's programmes including:

  • Facilitating undergraduate project work; where part or all of the work will have a biological or chemical aspect
  • Working with academics to organise and provide teaching sessions
  • Working with other departments to support students from across the university

Having studied chemistry at the University of Nottingham, I went on to work as a technician within the veterinary school, supporting the biological research carried out there.

I started at Loughborough University in STEMLab, working in the synthetic chemistry laboratory. I now work to support the school of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering with all matters Biological and Chemical safety-related. I manage the Water Engineering Laboratories, supporting all students and staff who use the facilities.
