I work part time within the School, I manage the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Water and Waste Infrastructure and Services Engineered for Resilience (Water WISER) see: www.waterwisercdt.ac.uk working in partnership with the Water, Public Health and Environmental Engineering Group at the University of Leeds, and the Water Science Institute at Cranfield University.
I also lead the development and organisation of the WEDC International Conference, see: http://www.wedcconference.co.uk
I have 20 years of international management experience, developing business, leading teams and managing projects and programmes for both the public and private sectors. I currently work part time mainly on Enterprise activity. During my time at WEDC I have held a number of leadership roles, including group leader between 2012 and 2017. Between 2007 and 2011 I worked for the UK Department for International Development (DFID) as the Project Manager for SPLASH, which improved coordination of European funded research in water and sanitation for development, with a geographic focus in Africa and the Mekong.
In 2012 I successfully completed an executive MBA programme at the University of Nottingham with distinction.
Before joining WEDC, I spent 6 years based in Brussels, leading and managing the internationally funded projects division of a multi national consulting firm, predominantly active in Asia and Central Europe, I speak fluent French.
