The School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical and Materials Engineering are sponsoring The JCB Academy for it’s Women into Engineering event for another year in support of Women in STEM.

The annual ‘Women into Engineering’ event is a UK initiative to raise the profile of women in engineering and explore the career opportunities available to women in this exciting industry.

Last year was the events' 10th anniversary and saw over 200 pupils from 35 primary schools across Staffordshire and Derbyshire join The JCB Academy to participate in the activities with female representatives from partners JCB, Toyota UK, Rolls-Royce, Loughborough University, Bentley Motors, Harper Adams University, Williams F1 Racing and more.

Mr Caine, Marketing and PR Manager at The JCB Academy comments:

The JCB Academy would not be able to run the event without the generous sponsorship from Loughborough University. Their contribution makes it a cost-free event for everyone that takes part.

We look forward to supporting and celebrating another year of Women in Engineering.
