Construction Engineering Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying is accredited by both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
Integrated placement year
We send 15% more students on engineering placements than any other UK university (HESA UG Student Record 2016/17: Engineering and Technology), emphasising our unrivalled links with industry. All students are given the opportunity to undertake an industrial placement year, with recent placement students undertaking positions at a variety of different companies.
Outstanding graduate employment
Our graduates have a fantastic employment rate. 100% of our graduates were in employment or further study within six months of graduating, with 98% of those serving in managerial, professional or graduate level roles (DLHE, 2017 graduates). The average starting salary of our graduates is £29,000 (DLHE, 2017 graduates).
