Students who pass their foundation year at Loughborough are guaranteed progression onto the following undergraduate courses: Textiles: Innovation and Design, Fine Art, Graphic Communication and Illustration, and Industrial Design and Technology.

The primary aim of Art and Design Foundation Studiesis to prepare you for higher education, building upon prior experience and skills. The programme of study ensures that the full range of teaching expertise and learning opportunities provided aid your awareness of the demands of art and design and help you to recognise the common principles and distinctive characteristics of the different subject disciplines. Applicants who are aged 18 years and under on 31 August in the year of entry will be exempt from the payment of tuition fees.
