Applying direct for 2020 entry

If you would like to join us in September but you haven’t submitted an application through UCAS yet, you will need to apply through clearing by following these steps.

If you submit an application through UCAS on or after 1 July 2020, your application will be entered into Clearing instead of the standard undergraduate admissions process.

The application process is the same as the standard process – you’ll still need to write a personal statement and complete all other sections as usual. Once you have submitted your application, you’ll receive an email containing your unique Clearing number. Your UCAS Track status should also change to tell you that you are now in Clearing.

Once you have your Clearing number to hand, you’ll be set to start contacting universities directly about the courses they have available in clearing.

We recommend signing up for Clearing alerts from Loughborough and any other universities that you are interested in, to ensure that you are notified as soon as the vacancies go live. Some universities will open for clearing earlier than others, so it is worth making sure you are notified as soon as courses become available at your preferred universities.

When the clearing lines open, make sure you quote your Clearing number. This will enable universities to see your application online and consider whether they’d be willing to make you an offer.
