Join Loughborough University Choir for some indoor and outdoor singing and jubilee joy!

Join our University Choir for a musical walk through the landscape of the last 70 years in their annual Spring Concert. There will be songs about flowers and, with a nod to the forthcoming Platinum Jubilee, music used for Royal occasions.

Enjoy familiar choral repertoire by Handel, Parry and Brahms, old favourites by Ivor Novello and Ronald Binge, contemporary classics by Howard Goodall, Gary Barlow and Ola Gjielo and some less well-known pieces by Royalty!

The capacity for this event has been reduced to allow for social distancing.

There is free car parking outside Cope Auditorium.

Accessibility

The Cope Auditorium has step free access and there is an accessible toilet in the main foyer. The auditorium has wheelchair user spaces in the flat floor seating area and is fitted with an induction (hearing) loop. Wheelchair users may bring a carer with them at no extra cost – please select a wheelchair ticket and then let us know via the booking form if you are bringing a carer with you, there is no need to book an additional ticket for them.

If you have any specific access needs, then please let us know via the booking form or email us in advance of booking at luarts@lboro.ac.uk.

Join us additionally for a FREE outdoor performance by the Choir :

Thursday 19th May, 12.30pm-1.15pm

Following some freezing fun in December, our University Choir is delighted to present another lunchtime al fresco performance outside Martin Hall (Shirley Pearce Square).

As they will be outside, they’ll be singing songs about flowers, so please join them to feel the sunshine (hopefully), smell the roses and ‘hear’ the lilacs in spring.

Refreshments will be available to purchase from Martin Hall café.

No booking is required for the outdoor performance, just turn up on the day.

Accessibility

Shirley Pearce Square, outside Martin Hall, has level access and there will be seating.

There is car parking on site but please travel by public transport or on foot if you are able to. The nearest car park on campus is car park 9. Martin Hall has step free access should you need to enter the building. There are toilets, including an accessible, gender neutral toilet on the ground floor.

If you have any specific access needs, then please let us know in advance by emailing luarts@lboro.ac.uk.
