Can you paint on water? Can you transfer this pattern onto paper? Does it sound interesting? Then come and try it!
Marbling is a method of aqueous surface design. The patterns are floated on the water, and then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper or fabric.
In this workshop you will marble paper and create interesting unique designs to take home with you.
No previous experience is needed.

About the workshop leader - Ezgi Aral
Ezgi completed her BSc in the Department of Sociology and her MSc in the Department of Journalism in Turkey. Following graduation, she worked in different roles for many years, including Philosophy Teacher, Public Relations Specialist, Corporate Communication Specialist, Media Consultant, and Executive Editor. In 2021, Ezgi attended Loughborough University to commence her Ph.D. in Criminology, Sociology, and Social Policy. Different forms of art have always been a field of interest and childhood passion, although she has focused on different academic fields.
This workshop will take place in the Michael Pearson Boardroom on the first floor in the Students' Union. There is lift access to the first floor and there are accessible toilets on the ground and first floors in the Union.
