In recent years journaling has really taken off, with many people finding it a mindful activity that has mental health benefits. So, why not come along to this hands-on workshop, suitable for all abilities, and find out what it's all about.
Journaling is a way of being creative and helps us to discover, plan, and be in touch with ourselves. It may be a form of art, the journey of understanding the deepest emotions, or just a nice way to remember nice things. Whatever you chose, you can make it in our fun and educational workshop.
You'll explore and tell your own stories using everything from old magazines to brushes. Along the way you'll find out a bit more about the history of journaling, try three popular techniques (collage, sketch, and watercolour)and learn some tips and tricks. At the end of the session you'll take home your own unique personal journal.
You will need to bring with you a journal or notebook which you like and some items you may want to include in your story - this could be a cinema or train ticket, photos, dried flowers/leaves or cuttings from magazines. Other materials will be provided.
