Come and Sing Fauré’s Requiem
Loughborough University Choir and Peckleton Church invite you to join them in singing Fauré’s Requiem with a concert at the end of the day.

All singers are welcome to this event, whatever your level of experience, to work with members of Loughborough University Choir to give a performance of Gabriel Fauré’s much loved Requiem. Other items provisionally included are Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine and John Rutter’s Ukrainian Prayer.
The performance is part of the summer series of concerts at the church, with tea and cake beforehand. There are no tickets for the concert but audience are invited to make donations towards upkeep of the church. Any proceeds from singer bookings after costs are met will also go towards the church, with a donation to a Ukrainian relief charity.
Registration, refreshments at breaks, and toilet facilities will be in Peckleton Village Hall LE9 7RE, along with some rehearsal sessions. The remaining rehearsals and concert will be at Peckleton Church LE9 7RA. Please note that the church is a 5 minute walk from the Village Hall across a field or via Church Road. If this will cause you difficulty please discuss when you book and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
We will be working from the Hamelle/UMP edition of Faure’s Requiem and you can borrow that and any other items on the day. Overall numbers are limited so early booking is recommended by emailing lborounichoir@gmail.com. You will receive a reply to confirm your registration, with details of how to pay. The singer fee is £20 for the day to include music loan.
