Final-year Arts student video callout

We want to pay three final-year arts students to produce a vlog in the lead up to the Arts Degree Show 2021.

We're offering three final-year students from across Creative Arts at Loughborough University, the opportunity to produce a vlog/video diary charting your thoughts and work as you progress towards your degree show in June.

Last year we did something similar with three arts students talking about making art during lockdown and their hopes, aspirations and fears for the future. They provide a really nice snapshot of those students' lives and their work. You can take a look at these vlogs on The Limit to give you an idea of the sort of thing we are after this year. Obviously last year the students were working towards a digital show. If a physical show is possible this year then this might allow you further filming opportunities.

The videos can be filmed on a phone so you don't need to worry about super high quality video production. We would like them to filmed over the weeks leading up the opening of the Arts Degree Show rather than filmed all in one go.

The selected students wil be paid £50 to produce their videos.

The finished work will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and published on The Limit and social media. We'll use them to showcase your work to a wider audience and promote the Arts Degree Show.

How do I get involved?

If you are interested in making a vlog for us then all you need to do is send an email to LUArts@lboro.ac.uk telling us a little bit about yourself, your art practice and why you want to get involved. If you have an example of a video you have made before you might want to send this too but it's not essential. Please put 'Final-year arts student vlog' in the subject line of your email.

Deadline for expressions of interest: Monday 3 May 2021.
