The first event was in New York on 6 May 2022 at the Obica Flatiron and was co-hosted by Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) member Yasamin Fozouni. The alumni enjoyed drinks, dinner, and the chance to exchange stories about their time at Loughborough.
Speaking about the event, Yasamin said:
“It brilliant to meet up with alumni in New York having not being able to get together for so long. Hopefully this will be the start of more events in the USA.
“Alumni who attended shared stories about the campus and their time at Loughborough.
“As a representative of the AAB it was good to support with hosting this event. There was a chance to network with the attendees and I have made some new contacts.
“I am already looking forward to the next reunion.”
The dinner in San Diego took place at Marina Kitchen on 11 May 2022. It was the first time this group of alumni had got together. More than 10 alumni attended and enjoyed networking over dinner and drinks at the picturesque location on the San Diego waterfront.
As academics and senior university staff travel to the USA, the plan is to arrange more alumni reunions.
