Support the future of the Flix student-run cinema

Many of you will remember the Flix cinema from your time at Loughborough. Founded in the 1940s, Flix is a key part of university for many students and the local community.

As a student-led society, Flix relies on the support of its members and cinema-goers to continue its upkeep.

Flix is seeking support from the Loughborough community to contribute to its development and to secure its future.

The committee said:

“Our team of volunteers are working hard to provide the students and the public of Loughborough with an affordable but professional cinema experience - and we need your help to continue.

“As technology, equipment, and film pricing has evolved, we have needed to adapt to remain relevant and capable of running in modern times.

“Your donation would allow us to continue running for years to come and help to maintain a strong community of film-lovers as well as protect a key part of our university's history.”

The expenses of running the society and maintaining equipment are increasing. With your help the students of Flix can continue to gain valuable experience – running a successful cinema, events, and gaining technological skills to take forward in their careers.
